    Okay,

    I have re-installed BB desktop software WITH MM and updated anything I can think of, and I can not see the files on my BB when connected. The connection clearly shows on the entry window but when I go to MM to move the files around it says: "device not connected."

    What am I missing here?

    Welcome to CB!

    Did you install the drivers for you device? Your BB should have came with a CD, or you can get the drivers from your carrier's website.
