What is the best way to change from a 2G to a 6G card. By this I mean what can I do to keep from losing what I have on my 2G card?

Copy the contents of the 2gb card to your computer. After
installing the new card copy all of that to it. Done.

You should make a practice of doing that as a basic backup strategy.

Is this already done in Desktop Manager?

No. You have to do this independent of Desktop Manager.
If you enable Mass Storage Mode on the card you can treat it
    like any other flash drive.

If you're referring to transfering the data from the 2 GB to the 6 GB card, the best way is to use a PC. Create a folder on your PC. Plug your BlackBerry to your PC and copy all files and folders to the folder you just created on your PC. Unplug your BlackBerry from your PC. Take the 2 GB card out of your BlackBerry, and replace it with the 6 GB card. Plug your BlackBerry to your PC once again. Copy all files and folders from the folder you previously created on your PC, and transfer them to the new 6 GB card.
