I am having some stupid media card issues and my blackberry won't display pictures in the Media Card. I have formatted the card many times from the phone itself and no luck. Sometimes, when I try to access my media card from the media application, it just says scanning and it doesn't even show media card when I try to access any thing from there. My media card is a PNY 2GB MicroSD card. Please help me fix this!

What BlackBerry do you have? Who is your carrier, and what OS version are you running? Are you a BIS user or a BES user? Is this your personal phone, or was it provided by your employer?

I have a BlackBerry 8310 (Curve) from AT&T funning OS 4.5. I am a BIS user and this is my personal phone.

Thanks for the info. That rules out some possible sources of trouble. Is the card almost full? Have you allowed it to finish scanning?

It has 1.1GB out of 1.8GB available and I have allowed it to finish scanning.

Did you take the pictures with the device camera and store them on the card, or did you copy pictures from somewhere else to the card?

Based on your answers, the only conclusion I can draw is that either the card or the card interface in your device is defective. 4GB cards are really cheap now. You might pick try one and see if that solved the problem.

I have an 8300 with Credo/Sprint network and put in a 4gb card. I needed to unzip some files so I removed the card and put it in a reader. The reader showed an error. I put the card back in the 8300 and it was completely wiped. The 8300 freezes when I try to format the card. Now what?
