Hi I have a Blackberry Curve # 8300. After I read an email, hit the back arrow, then return to my inbox, the email is gone!

    Anybody else experiencing this? Suggestions?

    Thanks

It's possible you have low free memory. What is your Options/Status/File Free: number?

That's plenty of memory. In Messages/Options/General Options, check that "Confirm Delete:" is set to "Yes."

In Messages/Options/Email Reconciliation, check these settings:
    Delete On: Mailbox and Handheld
    Wireless Reconcile: On
    On Conflicts: Mailbox wins

All settings are the same except:

    Delete on: handheld only.

I want to retain the messages in my inbox on my desktop.

I don't use BIS, so I can't reproduce your setup, but that seems logically the correct setting for what you want accomplish. Someone who knows more about BIS than I do will have to solve this...sorry I can't be more help.

Did anyone ever find a resolution for this? My wife's curve is doing this exact thing (deleting emails from the hand held immediately after reading them).
    thanks

Sounds like it could be a memory problem. What is your file free memory at? Go to options>status and post that file free number here...

What email service are you using? gmail? yahoo? hotmail?

It might be a setting within the web based system. Did you set it up as an IMAP or POP?
