What is your battery charge level?

I agree with MM. I would check the battery level and keep it topped it off. Unlike other cell phone/devices, the Blackberry batteries work better when not allowed to completely drain before recharging. Options > Mobile Network and enable or Manage Connections. Also, have a Pearl that shuts off when the battery gets low. Also, the link in my signature is excellent regarding current outages for carriers. Might want to check with verizon on your coverage area. Hope this helps.

Blackberry Lithium-ion batteries work better when not completely drained? Hadn't heard that one before.
