I know there is the "standard" lock feature on my BB. But, what I want to know, is there some way to lock the phone with a password or something that will keep my nosey roommate out of my phone?

Go to Options, Security Options, General Settings, Password - Select Enabled, then assign the password of your choice.

Keep in mind that 10 failed attempts at entering the password will wipe all data from the BB, so do frequent backups and you'll be fine.

And keep your BB with you at all times. LOL

Yes. To set up a password go to options > security options > general settings and set it up there. You can also set it when you want it to take effect ie. 10mins up to 1 hour.

Try options- security-general settings- enable password- set lock out time

And at say 30 minutes of idle you'll need a password to get back into the phone

It's a security feature and it works very well. Back up your device often, and even if it gets wiped a simple Restore will have it back to normal in no time.

I would get a new roommate a Berry is a very personal thing I mean you've got email voice notes sms mms videos music call logs pics browsing history passwords and who knows what else stored on the thing it's not really a line one should cross with out expecting a black eye.

Nice 4 acres in the country without the hassles of living in Memphis. But, still close enough to everything when I want to be.

Oh no I'm originally from Grenada.. little further south I guess . I live in Cordova at the moment. Work in Memphis. You sound like the Byhalia area lol, it's nice down there.
