Hey everyone. I've got an 8310 curve. I currently have it password protected to avoid randomly dialing someone, but repeatedly entering a password is getting on my nerves. Is there any way to lock the keyboard with out having password protection? Thanks!

On the 8330 with the "dial from home screen turned off (in other words, shortcuts turned on) you just hit the letter "k".

    Hope this helps.

Assign your left side convenience button to lock the screen.

    Options > Screen/Keyboard

Left Side Convenience Key Opens: Keyboard Lock

You'll have to disable the password to use the Keyboard Lock.

I have found the standby button (the one that looks like a speaker on the top of the device) to be just what I needed.
