Locked out of Curve. Normal Password won't let me in.

I've had my curve for about a month and set a password for it a few days after I had it. Since I set the password, I haven't connected it to a computer. I just connected it last night and it prompted me for a password. I entered my normal one a couple times, then some oth possibilities that I use for passwords thinking I may have set something right when I got it. Nothing worked. I unhooked the phone from the comp and tried my normal code and it put to my 9/10 tries. Also, when I enter in the characters, it shows what I'm typing for my password instead of the little stars. I don't know what happend. I checked my book and these forums and I haven't found anything. I am limited on time, as I'm leaving in a few hours for a bus trip and was hoping someone could help me. Have you done any backups? You may have to wipe it and load a previous backup to restore it.

I have done a back up but have gotten some numbers since and I was connecting to back it up. Hah. Just my luck. If nn one else knows, I may just have to do that. Thanks for the help.

The password may not be letting you in because the device may be in number mode or caps mode try checking for that first.

That happened to me before after I downloaded a bad theme, have you downloaded anything lately? I had to pull the battery and it let me in, but I continued running the theme not knowing. Once I locked the phone same issue, so I had to battery pull plus delte the theme of course. hope that helps some

We had a guy at work who entered the wrong password 10 times. All it does is wipe your berry. The password it asks for when you connect it to your PC is the one you need to enter to unlock the BB when you wish to access it. This is not your windows or DM password. That has caused some confusion. Like cutdacheck2003 said. Verify you are entering the password properly without shift or another key locked and you should be fine.

The bold sentence is correct. The underlined sentence as edited contradicts it and is not correct. You are right that it is not the windows password, but the device password and the Desktop Manager password are the same.

what happens if you downoaded a theme on blackberry and it wont let me unlock the phone to type my password in?help?!
