I use the Auto On/Off feature and charge the phone at night. When the phone turns off the LED begins flashing amber.

Is there a way to turn off the LED in this situation?

I don't believe so. That is the indicator that the phone is charging if it's off

Kealoha is right, thats the charging indicator which is a combo of colors your BB uses as alerts, atleast thats what it looks like on mine then just green when charged.

That light bugs me when I try to sleep. So to get around it I just use the slip case that came with the phone and cover that corner with it .

Ha! I've been doing the same thing. I plug it in, then put that corner in the case. I was hoping there might be some LED setting hidden in the option menu.
