Just set up my BIS and email account. As a test drive, I used my desktop computer to send an email to the address that is synced up with my BB, expecting to receive the email on my Curve within a few seconds. Strangely, I did not receive the self-sent email until a good ten to fifteen minutes afterward. Is there any way to reconcile this gap? Thanks!

depending your email, you might get it within a few seconds ( Yahoo is almost intaneous) to 15-30 mins ( gmail)

If you just set it up, it takes about 15-20min to provision the BB correctly, and then you should be good. Although TMo has been having data issues today as well..

I have it posting my ISP mail address @charter.net and I usually get the email on the Curve a good 3-5 minutes before it comes up on the Outlook on my PC. I guess it is all in the settings.

With the BES I have, I always get my email faster on my bb than on my desktop.

on Yahoo email, I usually get it before my Pc does,
on the other hand, for gmail my Pc got it first before my BB
