when unlocking keypad, i have to enter a password. Is it possible to change the unlock keypad setting so that a password is not needed?

Under the security options/ general settings/ password menu, I have only three options: 1. change password 2. wipe handheld 3.verify security software. This makes me believe I have to live with this annoying psswd requirement if I choose to use the lock keypad command.

    Thx in advance

Is this a personal phone or a work issued phone on BES?
If it is on BES you may have an IT Policy that requires you
to use a password which is why disable is not there

And rather pressing the menu button click the word ENABLED and
    change it there.

I do not have the disable option... BTW, there is a small red lock icon next to the "enabled". My guess is that icon means i can't disable password.

Sounds like AG is right - IT policy strikes again. Looks like you may be stuck.

Okay, then yeah you are stuck. Do not try removing the IT
Policy as it will simply get pushed back. And there are some
cases where doing so can put your job at risk.
