I'm on Sprint, so the best BB available is the 8330. I was thinking of maybe getting the Pre, but it not for me. I'm sure I'll get the Tour when it comes out, but in all honesty- the Tour doesn't do THAT much that my current 8330 can't do. It's just that some of us like to have something fresh and new.

At the end of the day, the 8330 really is a good workhorse of a phone with tons of features. I've started adding some things here and there to freshen it up and hold me out until the tour comes.

Here's what I've done:

1. Updated to os 4.5
2. Purchased pro version of Docs to Go with the PDF viewer.
3. Purchased 16 gig media card

Number 2 and 3 can be used with future BlackBerry devices, so that'll be nice and will save money.

What about the physical appearance of the phone? Can anything be done to spice it up? I was thinking a nice battery door similar to the Bold's would be cool, but I can't find anything. There is a rubber type one available, but people have complained about it not being made very well.

Have you already put a nice Bold-like or 8900-like theme on the 8330? That will definitely freshen up the look of your 8330.

You can also change your housing...if you look through the first couple pages of the 83xx section there are a few threads about people changing their housings to black or white

I myself will probably be putting a white housing on mine

You should be able to find housings on eBay for fairly cheap

A new housing and maybe even a colored trackball to go along with the new housing. Both can be found at Cellular Accessories - SonyEricsson, HTC, Microsoft, Motorola, Tools, Nokia, Sony, Panasonic, NEC, Acce or ebay also has them. Make sure you post pics if you change it. Another thing you might do is dl some new apps here's a good link for OTA apps here on cb...

I've tried themes before, including the Bold ones, but for some reason I still keep coming back to one of the Sprint ones.

I like the idea of changing the housing to all black. Too bad nobody seems to make replacement backs for the Curve, like they do for the Bold. I think a handsome black leather one with a RIM logo on it would look sharp.
