Can someone please help me figure how to setup Keepass. When it ask about database I don't know what to select because everything I select just keeps giving me the option to open. Also it has been stuck at encrypting 85% for the last few minutes. Did I do something wrong?

    TIA

Database files are stored in an external file, so you can have multiple database files.

You probably need to create a new one.

Just hit cancel on the load prompt, Menu > New database
-set your Master key for this db (this is the password to access the file)
-set where you want to store the db file and whether or not only this device can read it

Later on, in the options you can set a db file to "autoload on startup" if you want, then it will auto ask you for the PW only.

When I do that it says it can't creat a new file and then it goes to encrypting 85% and that's where it stays forever. What am I doing wrong?

Check the options. Is it trying to auto load a keyfile or db file?

Also if you haven't, I'd do a reset after the install.

I am wondering if the preferences file got corrupted somehow. I'd try resetting the options to "reset to defaults", save that and try again.

If not I'd remove the app, restart and reinstall it.

In Options under keyfile Options I see

    hide keyfile (off)
    load keyfile on startup (on)

then there is a red box where its asking me about the SD card or store

Set "load keyfile on startup" to off

I think it's trying to load a keyfile and you don't have one.

Also make sure "reload database on startup" is currently off (you will want this turned back on, but only after you have a DB file).

Ok I did that now I am back to the part where I type in my master key
now under it where it says keyfile do I put anything there? or do I just hit ok?

No keyfile needed, you are just going to use manual PW entry I assume.

Ok Now I am the part where it says New Database Only on this device can read this file. Do I have to put something in the database part?

Use the ... button for the database part to navigate to where you want the DB file to be stored (/SDCard/db for example)

So now you can re-enable "reload database on startup" and point to that db file.
