So I just had to swap out my blackberry curve for another one since the rubber was peeling and no matter how many battery pulls I did it was constantly locked up. So now I have a new blackberry but I can't seem to get any blackberry messages from my old messenger contacts. They are unable to message me even though I did the "switch device" in Blackberry Desktop. Do I have to readd all of them through messenger?

yeah or restore from an old backup doing that will put those contact in you messenger list.. their phones will need your old PIN

so if they message me, it won't go through? Because i did such and so far people still see my old status and more.
