downloaded a bunch of themes but cant get them to work....whats the deal with jad files??? how do i get them to work...was trying to use the bb desktop manager on my computer

JAD files are for downloading directly on your phone. They are also known as Over The Air (OTA) downloads. You cannot load these through Desktop Manager. Only .alx files can be loaded through DM.
In your Blackberry Browser, go to the page that the theme is on and click the link for the download. Then you will be able to download the theme onto your phone.
Or...put the jad file onto your memory card. Navigate to the file through the explore option in media manager and click on the file. As long as all the associated cod files are in the same file as the jad, it will install just as if OTA. I use this method for installing my custom themes a lot without fail.
