I am expecting to receive via UPS a replacement 8310 BB from Rogers today or Monday. Is there any reason why I have to wait to charge the battery that comes with the new phone or can I simply put a fully charged battery in the new unit and start reloading my third party software without the 3 hour charge wait?
Any help appreciated.

Sounds like a good plan. Won't hurt a thing as long as the batteries are the same.

I'm assuming the phone you're replacing is an 83xx also.

Thanks for the response, that will save me some time. This is my fourth BB curve, the other three being defective.
