Ok, so rang O2 at 8am this morning and managed to get found out that O2 have 3000 x 8300 in stock. But because they havent updated their upgrading systems, i have to call back tomorrow, and so tomorrow morning i will have an 8300 winging its way to me for Wednesday.

So latest update ....

I rang O2 again this morning. They have the stock but cante release the Curve for another few days.However, in the meantime they are sending me 2 x 8800 of which i can swap to the Curve if i choose too.

I couldnt say no to that, and on top of that, the stand alone handset SIM free is �210.

Being kind i think we have one possible winging its way to Kasper once i can get it...

Were you able to get the curve without a contract from O2? or do you live in the Uk?

I think its fair to say that aside of Blackberry you get phones later in the USA, but its also fair to say your cell phone plans are generally way behind anyway. Afterall, why be charge to receive calls and sms etc ....

???? Being charged for receiveing calls and text? Every one charges for that. Please explain on what you mean. From what I read we HAVE the best plans out of Verizon, Tmoblie, AT&T....... Well i was under the impression that in the US you get inclusive sms and voice mins for example, but its costs you to receive them. In the UK, i dont get charges to receive a call or sms.

So if for example you have 500 sms allowance per month this is 500 free texts i can send! Anything i receive is additional!
