    Hello all,

I just got a used BB curve 8330 from one of my really good friends, and she lives out of state. I can not figure out how to set up a email account with the phone, Can someone please tell me how to do that?!?!

    Thanks,

    Ashley

Have you tried to use the email wizard on the BB?
Did you try setting it up on your carrier's BIS site?
Did you resend your service books?
Did you register your device under the host routing table?

    Just need some more info...

Find the Email Wizard on the device and run it. It's pretty easy.

No, pull the battery out for a couple of seconds and put it back in. That sometimes helps.

the battery pull will send your service books or should. If not at your verizon blackberry acc request to send them. That will give you the setup and all verizon goodies on the phone.

If you need your service books you don't need to call Verizon. You can do it one of three ways.

#1. As mentioned normally a battery pull will do it
#2. Go to your Options - Advanced- Host Routing Table - hit the BB menu key and select "Register Now".
#3. Go to your providers BIS site. Login to your account that you've setup hopefully by now, and choose the option to resend Service Books.

If you still have issues you may want to contact Verizon support.
