My wife has a blackberry 8330. She takes videos of our child and sends them to me and my family. When she sends the video no one can view the video, the phones that she sends it to is a blackberry 8830 (mine) and a 8320 (fathers) both of us get the email and it shows an attachment but when we click the track ball there is no option to open the attachment. The format it is being sent in is 3gp.

Is this her phone or ours? I am on sprint with the 8830 so I am still running 4.3 as far as I know there is still no approved verson of 4.5 for sprint.

I think you need 4.5 for videos.

Also, while you're upgrading and it asks you which programs to install, make sure "Blackberry Attachment Service" is checked. I don't know if it'll work with video, but I've read that this is one solution for people not being able to open attachments.

4.3 on the 8330 has the video function, so the 4.5 upgrade shouldn't be necessary. As far as sending the recorded video, I don't know much about that, I don't really do that...

Ah, I need to read slightly more before posting... You may need to upgrade to 4.5 to view the videos, I'm not totally sure tho.

Do you have a media card? Did you press the menu key and select download, or do you have that option?
