I upgraded to a Sprint 9650 so I am wanting to sell my Sprint 8330 Curve. The problem is I want to remove my phone number out of the phone before selling it to some random person. Any idea how I would go about doing this? I think I have to get to the programming screen but am unable to figure out the password. Tried ##123456 and ##000000 and ##654321 but its not working. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Wipe the device.
Already tried it. Still shows up saying my number XXX XXX XXXX when you hit the send button to enter the number you want to call.

Is it there because it's still in Menu/Options/Phone Options/Voice mail? I think deleting this will take it out of the #1 vm (speed dial) key also. I really don't know for sure, you may have to call the carrier.

Tried that and still shows. I got it to go away by disabling "Show my number" in on of the screens but all someone has to do is enable it for it to show. Oh well.

Dial ##000000 and press Send. Delete the Mobile Directory Number and replace it with another 10-digit number that won't violate anyone's privacy. 2025551212 is a good choice. Then press the BB button and select Save. Allow the phone to reboot. If you don't replace your number with another number, your number will come back.

Already tried the ##000000, invalid password. Also tried ##123456 and ##654321 to no avail.

Interesting. ##000000 works on Verizon, so I assumed it would work on any CDMA device. You're probably going to have to call Sprint Customer Service.

I was going to, was not certain if they were able to do so on a deactivated device though.

Got it figured out. Had to call Sprint and get MSL from them.
