are you seeing delivery confirmations?
Go to your message icon > menu > options > Email Settings > Confirm Deliver/Read > set to NO

On the 8330 curve, I went to the email icon and press options. Change the email settings - they are preset to for yes for delivery and you need to press "no".

I know you have a different phone, but I hoped that helped!
