    I believe you have to compose MMS after updating to OS 4.5. A search shall provide you with the instructions/links

    There's a menu option after you take a picture to send as MMS(at least there is on my VZW 8330). Although if you use Sprint it may not work as expected...

    SMS cannot be used to send a pic. You need to use MMS to do that.
