A friend of mine upgraded her tmo curve to 4.5. Then she noticed she hasn't rec'd any email since the upgrade.
I read diff threads and all are suggesting resending service books, but how does one do this?
    Thanks in advance

    1. Reset using advanced options 3 times
    2. Reset with a battery pull 3 times
    3. Resent the service books twice

Still can't open audio files in email

Ideas besides spend 7 hours on the phone with T-Mobile telling me to do what I've already done 3 times?

I know that some service providers have the option to resend service books by logging into your account on their webpage. This is how I had to do it the first time with my T-Mobile BB 8320. On Verizon, I found that I had to actually call verizon wireless customer support, if they ask you why you are requesting your service books be resent, just tell them that your email isnt working.

Going the route of going to the options menu >> Host Routing Table >> Register Now also works, however it only resends service books from your carrier, if you have service books for BES, or any other service not carrier dependant (like blackberry maps, for example) sometimes you have to reinstall the app itself.

If you find you are having connectivity issues with a specific application, that also may not be service book related, it may be that the specific application requires direct tcp connectivity, instead of using BIS/BES. In that case, google "your carrier name here" APN settings.
