    You need to keep File Free greater than 12 000 000 bytes to avoid the problems associated with insufficient memory. There's not really an ideal number. As long as you keep above the minimum, it's just a tradeoff between apps and free space.

    That is a good start, 16 Mb gives you some breathing room over the 12 Mb Device Reserved Memory setting.

    After startup, you can expect that number to fall, but as long as it stays above 12 Mb, you are Golden.
