I used to have a Pearl, and every time I plugged the phone into the computer, I'd get a message on my phone asking me if I want to enable the Mass Storage Mode. I'd say yes, and then it was so easy to tranfer music and pictures from my computer to my phone. I now have a Curve 8330. I followed your instructions (in the quote above) and my phone says, "The media card is not available because Mass Storage Mode is currently in use." To get rid of that message, I have to turn off the Mass Storage Mode, but then I don't get the message on my BB allowing me to enable the Mass Storage Mode.
Any suggestions or ideas? Also, what is 'DM'? I'd love to be able to transfer songs so I can use them as my ringtone.
