How can i get the email service off my curve once setup?
- I recently put my yahoo email on my blackberry and am getting spam email all night long. Is there any way to either get email off entirely or is there a way i can put a new email on there? I was unable to go to cingular.com/blackberrystart to get a blackberry email. Anyone know the new link?07-09-08 08:49 AMLike 0

- If you are getting spam for your blackberry, it means that you were gettin spam e-mail before in your inbox. From my own personal experience, you only get what you are getting in your inbox, not your junk e-mail or anything like that as we all have those folders when we log in the regular way (through the internet on a computer or through internet in blackberry)
You need to block or have it filtered to that it goes to your junkmail and not your inbox. If you no longer want that e-mail synched to your BB, then do the following (works for me and I'm with Verizon)
Go to e-mail settings> it will ask you to log in (you should have done this when you first got it, so you have a username and password)
choose the e-mail you want gone, and click delete
You add e-mail accounts the same way. Just click add
If you are just annoyed that you are being notified of messages at night, then you need to choose a profile that works for you at different times of day and night. For example, you don't want to be notified about anything unless you get a phone call: choose phone only profile
You don't want to be notified of messages, but would like to receive phone calls and calendar events notifications, like an alarm waking you up, you need to tweek one of your profiles (normal, loud), and customize one of them not to have a notification for messages, you will have a choice of what you want each thing to sound like.
Hope this helps.07-09-08 09:03 AMLike 0 -
