    I see the same posts for what i'm asking, but i have a different phone from the phones those users are asking about.
    So.. i might as well ask..
    Why does the so called "volume" button on the right side of my Blackberry Curve 8300 only can be used for a call? Not for you-know, high-low/vibrate for texts,calls, alarms, etc..? I assume the 'profiles' (low, high, vibrate, none) thing/app in the menu is what that's for. Am i right? (on all this).

    Yes you are right, just click the menu button and go to edit to change specific option for each profile, including notification volume levels.
