Hey everyone, my blackberry announces very loudly "You now have cell coverage" even when it is on vibrate or quiet. I have no idea how to change this setting and it happens in the most inopportune times. If anyone knows how to change this setting, please let me know. It is the loudest thing ever! The people at the AT&T store couldn't even figure it out and I think I've been to every menu on the phone that there is....HELP!

    Welcome to CrackBerry.

    Turn on wireless coverage notification
    1. In the device options, click Screen/Keyboard.
    2. Set the LED Coverage Indicator field to On.
    3. Press the Menu key.
    4. Click Save.
When your BlackBerry device is connected to the wireless network, the LED light flashes green.
To turn off wireless coverage notification again, set the LED Coverage Indicator field to Off.
    ...
That is the first time I have heard of a audio indicator for coverage, other then Voice Activated commands.

So if the LED indicator is 'ON' will that mean that it won't announce things? Also, may this have to do with the fact that I have the TelNav Navigator downloaded???

As I mentioned, I have not heard of that before.

Try changing it to see if it makes any difference.
