I've had my Curve 8310 since February and only recently has it started synching automatically.
I don't know what I did to turn that on, but now I can't figure out how to turn synching OFF.
I don't have my phone linked to Outlook, I only get emails from gmail.
Because it's not linked, I don't have my appointments or messages saved anywhere else but on my handheld.

I checked the settings & I have everything set so that if there's a discrepancy, the handheld wins and I also have my calender set to keep all appointments forever (personal pref) but when it synchs on it's own, everything gets deleted. No rhyme or reason!

I'd like to know how to turn synching off so nothing gets deleted.

Please help. :S

Do you mean synch with the desktop manager?

Open the desktop manager. Click on Synchronize.

Uncheck all but Update device date and time.

Especially uncheck the box below the Synchronize Automatically.


Why probably cuz you don't have any account in Outlook. It is taking Outlook as the master.
