I turned my phone on today and when i went to compose a text message, there was pink and white diagonal striped lines behind the message, everthing works fine, i just cant read it very well

will turn off your diagonal stripes. I can't explain how you could have inadvertently turned them on. Assuming you are on a BES, it's possible you have a new IT policy that requires it. In that case, you won't be able to turn it off.
