Im have OS 4.3.0.127

I just got the 8gb Kingston and slapped it in my BB. Formatted it and it showed only 971mb. I had a feeling that it wouldnt see the full 8gb, but only 971mb? Before I put it in my BB I checked it on my pc and it was 7.9 gb. Now since it has been in my BB I cannot get it back to 8gb, I tried formatting it on my comp and still only 971mb. If you can help I would appreciate it

I just put an 8gb Kingston in mine (did not format it) and BB seen new card and verified it and it shows 7.4 gb

4.3 should be able to seen all 8gb without an issue. Are you sure the card is 8gb? It sounds like a 1gb card according to the size you listed as formatted...

I just got mine today, (no clue how to format it, lol) but when I slid it in, it showed I had 7.3 gigs.

Options-media card, press menu key, select format card.

I talked with kingston cust ser and they said it could be a bad card. It says 8gb on card as well as box. They are going to ship me a new one so gotta wait yet again. So when the next one comes all I have to do is slide it in? No format

I didn't format my card, and I'm on 4.3 as well. Give it a try without the format.
