ok someone tried to get into my phone and typed the wrong passworrd in 5 times and it started wiping it clean..i pulled the battery trying to prevent it from finishing (it was at almost 50% percent) now when i put the batt back in and try to re start nothing happens and the light on my phone stays red..GREAT. now what!? help!

If theres no life when rebooting, I'm really doubtfull that the DM will recognise it..

I think the wiping thing is a poor feature. It should simply be 100% locked after the 5(?) password attempts and can only be unlocked by RIM or the carrier and only with proof of ownership. I know it would be difficult to do, but still.

Sorry! I agree that the password feature, while protecting your phone, could be enhanced. As it is, anyone who gets your phone can wipe it!

That sucks that someone got a hold of your phone and caused that to happen. Ive heard some stories of overprotective significant others causing this to happen.

Id be so pissed if that happened to me.
