So i got a few quick questions. Im getting pretty decent at freeing up memory, so far i have removed VAD, themes, wallpapers and password keeper. I recently upgraded to .46 and after all these steps im at about 27 mbs after a memory pull. But im reading about all these people having close to 30!! What else is being removed, i know that voice recorder can be removed but i cant seem to find where this .cod file is..
Also i just changed my plan the Blackberry Minutes & Mail, and will no longer be using myfaves. This takes effect next billing period, but will this wipe all the myfaves info on my phone? There is a ton of myfaves icons that i dont even use and i was unsure how to delete them. Im sure this will free up space, is it ok to delete them now even though i still have myfaves?
Keep in mind some devices have more internal memoury to begin with. IE - the Curve from Verizon. So some people who are running 30MB+ may have had more memoury to start with.
Anyhow, you can also free up memoury by keeping your internet cache cleared. In your browser... Menu>Options>Cache Options.
Push To Talk
Brickbreaker
TTY enabler
The korean and semetic fonts
Password Keeper
DOD Root Certificate
Any language not English or Spanish
Grace, this may be dumb but what exactly is push to talk? Im not sure if i have this option, also i already deleted brickbreaker and languages, i forgot to mention those. But could you please explain what tty enabler, and dod root certificates are?
And how did you delete them, along with the semetic fonts? Im wanting to do this when i get home. So yeah, how did you get rid of push to talk, tty enabler, the semetic fonts or whatever and dod root...
You guys are awesome, so does anyone know the answer to my tmo question? If it will do any harm deleting all the preloaded myfaves icons that i have. Even though currently i still have the myfaves plan? I know those take up quite a bit of space. And if anyone knows the name of that file?
I asked to give an indication of how
the optimize and app load could affect
memory. You and I have about the same
memory, 31.5. I have 15 apps and now only 1 theme

How did you get down to one theme? I only ever use the tmo zen theme, but according to all the guides to freeing memory ive read you have to keep the bb dimension theme for "normal system operation"
do I detect a whiff of competition? it's like someone posts a screenshot of their free memory, and all of a sudden, everyone is trying to beat it!
I've decided that God, or BB, or whoever is in charge, does not really want me to have more than 21,000,000 with my current BB and OS and apps and such, and that I won't do a battery pull (or equivalent) until I dip down to 15,000,000. Besides, checking your memory all the time, and tweaking your apps to get more memory, means you are an addict, right?
