Last night I attempted to install the 4.5.0.205 update for my curve 8330. Well, it will not:
    1. turn off
    2. stop showing the "platform with options" screen
    3. revert back to a previous OS

When I try to run the loader for the update again it says it installed fine
When I try to revert to a previous OS it says that my desktop manager says my BB is not plugged in when it actually is.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

You have an 8330 and you are trying to install the OS for an 8830? This is why you are having issues if I understand you correctly!!

A little typo there. Sorry about that. I have a 8330 and I was trying to install the 8330 software for it.

    Thanks for the correction.

With your BB plugged in open your PCs device manager and look for your BB in the USB devices list and if it is un-install the drivers then unplug your BB and plug it back in.

If you want to try and reload .131, un-install the old OS from your PC but keep the file incase you need to re-install it.

Close DM and navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and double click the loader.exe file and launch the application loader and see if it will reload your .131.

If you decide to revert back to your old OS then un-install .131 from your PC and try the same as above.

    I hope this helps
