Im cleaning up a bunch o stuff from fiances curve, removing VAD for one.. I installed crackmem on his computer, extracted it blah blah
When I did it on mine, it went smooth

When I go to open crackmem on his laptop, it says OS cannot be found.. what am I missing, or what step?

I cant confirm the OS as it cannot be found...

What is crackmem? I tried looking for it to see what it was before I asked but I couldn't find it.

CrackMem works on the installed Device OS software, it does have to be present or no-go.

Ok I wondered that sitting here on his laptop LOL *lightbulb moment*

So, once I install the OS here on his computer, Ishould be good to go with crackmem here right? any steps I need to do or avoid?

You are good to go now.

Among the nice features found in CrackMem is the option to remove the vendor.xml file. If the OS is not carrier specific, you can do it from CrackMem.

I always left the vendor theme alone in there on mine, so I CAN remove it with no issues?

Our OS are not specific as I updated before tmo came out officially

the vendor file takes up memory then I take it?

The themes you can remove. CrackMem will leave the Dimension
themes untouched, so you will still be able to use 3rd party ones.

The vendor.xml file does not take up memory, but if it is present
and the OS is not from your carrier it will prevent you from loading
it onto the phone. That is why people delete it.

Ahh ok, Ill leave the themes alone, he only has one installed anyways.. He also has a memoy card for his media too so hes all good with that..

Ill also leave the vendor file alone, I took off the other languages he wont need thru DM, and used crackmem for VAD.. I think we will be good to go.

hes using my 8320 that I gave him 2 weeks ago, so most of the stuff I had taken off, Ill need to check his stock wallpapers but I think those are gone too from when I had it..
