How did this happen? Doesn't sound like a warranty issue, do you have insurance?

Simple fix, get the charging stand for your curve. I have one and it is all I use to charge my berry now. Another benefit is that it looks really SWEET. Welcome to CB.

Agree with crackvegas! I had a usb port problem in that a couple of the pins got out of shape and finally would not charge or be recognized onb the desk top. Had to turn phone in for another one. Found a charging dock which is really the way to go. Only plug phone in when I really have to. Get a charging dock. It will save you a lot of problems in the future. Good luck!

The two gold contacts on both sides of the battery door latch are charging contacts for the pod.

Only downside is u won't be able to connect ur bb to a pc.

If your BB is less than 12 months old, try and get it exchanged under warranty. Though they might say it is not covered by warranty as mentioned above. It's worth a try.

If you can't get the BB replaced, go with the charging dock suggestion to charge your BB. Use Google Sync to keep your address book and calendar backed up.

I got mine on Amazon, from a seller, not from Amazon directly.

I bought mine at Amazon and I think I paid 3-4 dollards with shipping. Do a search on charging docks and you will find it. Its only the dock and you use your phone charger that plugs into the dock. Youcan't beat the price. Best Buy is selling them for 19.99.

Buy it from the CB store. They almost always have the best deals on all things berry.

I got my dock from a BestBuy store for around $20 it came with the stand and the power cord. I think my berry looks sooo nice sitting in the stand not to mention that it is uber easy to just grab and go no unplugging needed..

Could someone post a close-up pic of the charging connections on this dock?
I have a hard case on my BB, and am thinking about modding it so I can use a dock. I need to be sure the dock pins stick out far enough though.
    Thx for your help.
