So today i uploaded the desktop softwear for my curve, after installing i look at my phone and the wallpaper is back to the one it came with. So then i freak out and look at my music and all my pitures that have built up its all gone the phone looks to me like it has been reset!!! Are the files saved on my computer and WTF! happend!!?!?!?!

Kind of odd that everything is gone, did you do the handset wipe?

The only way anything would be on your computer is if you did a backup first or during the update.

Did you upgrade the Desktop Manager or the Handheld Operating System.

Desktop Manager shouldn't effect your device like that

Lets step back a bit.

Do you have a Media Card installed? If so, that is where you can find your music, pictures, videos and ringtones.

Desktop Manager has a Media Manager that should see your Media card or files in device memory.

A quick test, plug the device into the USB port and view your Media Card with Windows. You should see a BlackBerry folder with subfolders.

The other way to check is BlackBerry Media Center. Open it and use the BB key to pop up the options list. Choose Explore and you can see both device and media card memory.
