Help! Address Book gone after uninstalling FB!

I'm probably totally screwed, but here's my problem:

First, I have no unread messages on my phone or on Facebook, but my phone kept showing I had a new Facebook message on the home screen. It's been there two days. I tried multiple battery pulls, mark all opened, etc. So I decide to uninstall and re-install Facebook - maybe that will work? NOPE. As soon as I reinstalled it, it shows I have a new message again when I do not AND now my Address Book is completely empty! WTF!

First question - How do I get rid of this nonexistent message alert.

Second question - Why on earth did all of my contacts get deleted?

Third - Is there any chance in **** I can retrieve my contacts?

If you delete the FB app using DM it wont delete your contacts, but if you delete it using your Blackberry it will. I hope you have your contacts backed up because that is the only way you will get them back.

DM as in Download Manager? Ugh... why would they EVER design this so that if you delete an app one way that it would delete your address book? And without warning? I cannot wait for my contract to be up and get rid of this thing. I just installed Windows 7 on my computer and have not backed up my phone on it yet so my contacts are gone. wtf.

How do I get it to stop telling me there's a message in Facebook?
