I got an SPE holster. While in the holster its like the phone is not in standby. I can hear buttons when pushed. Is their a setting I'm missing?

Make certain your BlackBerry is placed in the holster correctly--is it facing the direction recommended? I know that in the past some RIM OEM holsters, the BlackBerry needed to face inwards.

That was the problem. The holster didn't come with any instructions. Thanks a lot.

Did you buy an OEM holster? If not, you may not have a magnet in the holster, which is required to put the phone into sleep mode.

With this case, do you have any problems with your trackball?
