Unhappy Got my bb submerged in water

i dropped my phone in a bucket of water when it was in the water it was all lit up seemed to stay on for aleast a second after it was dripping wet then turned off.... i took out the battie and sim card ... dried the phone and placed it in some rice.... the phone will turn on and off but thats about it the keyboard and trackball are messed up... the only buttons that work are the t h i and the back button use to work but its turned into the b button... the trackball will move around but when i press down to selet it gives a + sign ... does this mean i need to replace the keyboard and trackball.... its been maybe an hour or so seens it been wet

You should leave it in the bag of rice overnight. It should be good to go in the morning. Don't turn it on again until you have done that. Hopefully it works for you.

You need to let it dry completely. The sooner you turn it on, the more likely you are to fry the phone as you send current through circuits that are wet.

My hair barely dries in an hour...

I read somewhere that you should store the phone in a bag of rice (or silica gel if you got it) for a week before trying to start it up, with the battery out.

If you get it to turn on and the buttons dont work .. Just buy a repair kit . Worked for me when I had my pearl
