Is Google Voice worth it?

My search got me some real old threads. I've got an 8300 on Tmob with the original OS on it. I've got a GV number. I mainly want to call out internationally with it for cheap, I'm not worried about the VM or free txt. Is that halfway easy to do? My other question is do they have the OTA app at the App Store? Thanks for your expert help.

Of course it's worth it. Have you checked the price recently? Still free last time I checked and it's a way cool application.
