Sorry if this question is duplicated, but I cannot find it in the forums.

I have an 8310 from AT&T with the AT&T OS v4.2.2.170. I do not have a data plan. Can I download Google Maps and load it via Desktop Manager (4.5.0.15), and then use my GPS to access?

Thank you for any help offered.

The GPS will not function without a data plan. You can use it to search addresses and businesses, but not for your location.

I am confused. Why does my GPS location update when I go to Options>Advanced Options>GPS>Refresh?

Is there any application that I can use without having a data plan?

that gps just gives you coordinates. it has to be combined with the maps delivered by the data plan
