Trying to get Google Maps 4.0.1 to run on my curve 8310. It will not let me load it by following default instructions so I have to attempt it manually like they suggest. Options-Avanced options-Applications-highlight Google maps-Edit Permissions- try to change from default custom on connection and it won't let me change custom to Allow?? Please help!

Where did you get version 4.1 from? I just downloaded and installed GM about a week ago and it gave me version 3.2.1.

Maybe you're trying to install the wrong version?

Its not 4.1, but rather 4.0.1

i set my permissions to allow allow allow.. it was default but i went it and just clicked save then it worked

This is where it has been a problem it won't let me edit the application on connectionor any others to allow. Don't know why? Thanks!

Google Maps 4.1 asks that you permit recording. You shouldn't need to change your "default" permissions. My defaults are Deny-Custom-Deny. Locate the Google Maps app in the application section, click the BB menu key and edit the app permissions. ALLOW everything and then see if maps will work for you. If it does, you can always go back & scale back the permissions & figure out what needs to be allowed and what doesn't. I do that with all my apps.
