hey everyone, I have a friend that is going on a cruise, not in the US (well its Puerto Rico...not sure if Puerto Rico is considered US coverage with T-mobile). Basically he will be on a cruise which might visit other islands near by...so will he be charged if he makes/receives calls or texts over there? Should he just keep his cell phone off? I have ran a search but there has not been a definite answer. thanks everyone

I find it hard to believe that you (or your friend) did the research.
Go to your provider's website. Look up international coverage to check for those islands. Please don't ask us to do the research for you, which is pretty much what you did. Did you try CALLING T-Mobile?
