Only DRM-free songs can be transfered. This has to do with iTunes licensing.

DRM is Digital Management Right. For iTunes, if you buy songs from the iTunes store for $0.99, those songs can only be played on max 5 computers and unlimited iPods. Those songs cannot be transfered to any devices. If you want DRM-free songs, then you can either buy/upgrade to the $1.29 version or buy from another source like Amazon MP3 etc. Songs you ripped from the your CD collections are also DRM free.

There are ways to make duplicate copies of your DRM songs, but that outside of this discussion.

So are you asking how to made your existing $0.99 iTunes songs DRM-free so you can use them as you please?

Find the song in your itunes music folder and drag it to your BB(preferably SD card).

Your BB needs to be plugged in to your computer with mass storage enabled (Options>Memory>Mass Storage> On)

If you JUST purchased a song from iTunes, it won't have DRMs.

Go to your iTunes Music folder on your computer, and copy the song to your BlackBerry. The BlackBerry will play songs in AAC format.

It doesn't work that way. iTunes purchased $0.99 DRM songs are protected and cannot be played on non Apple approved devices.

Songs purchased after the second week of January 2009 no longer have DRMs.
