After I updated to the 4.5.0.169 os I cant get the gps to work. Everything is on but it just times out. Google gives an approximate location but my blackberry maps and live search don't. Any help?

check permissions on the applications an make sure they are set to allow

The only available permission was Live Search and Google Maps....both set to allow. BB maps was not in the list. Is it possible the update disabled it so I have to purchase the NavTec?

It sometimes take a while (a loooooooooong while) for BBMaps to acquire the first satellite lock.

Be sure that you are outside with a completely unobstructed view of the sky and be sure to wait at least 20 minutes.

You may have to restart the GPS navigation several times before it gets a lock.

also make sure that the location is set to on.

options> advanced > GPS > location ON
