How long has this flash player issue been going on? I would love to watch videos. RIM is trying to get a flashplayer for everybody. go there forums and complain.
IT's hard to do and Adobe are the folk who must produce the product. There is not currently a Flash player for the iPhoney and if the Apple fanboys at Adobe have not yet made Flash forhteir toy, then the BlackBerry must be a way down ther list.
A work around could be to use the Bolt browser as this is server based and may have a way to render Flash sites on the BlackBery screen. I cannot say for sure as I have never tried Bolt.
m.youtube.com allows the viewing of videos. I'm sure this is common knowledge, but unless your looking for porn, just about every video on earth can be found on youtube.

I know its something Adobe would have to make, I just think RIM should ride them about doing it. As far as Adobe goes, they are missing out on a large market too I would think. It would be interesting to see a study of the amount of videos being watched with mobile devices now instead of computers.

There are a lot of web pages that require flash to view too. Also youtube doesn't allow all of the videos posted on the site to be watched on the mobile version. My guess is with Flash you could actually go to the full youtube site and view videos there too.
People often ask if Skyfire will run on these phones...
Android G1: An important platform that we are keeping our eye on.
Apple iPhone: Nope. Still waiting for a call from Steve... Blackberry: Not yet. It's high on our list. Stay tuned.
Palm OS phone: Palm OS phones are not supported, but Windows Mobile phones offered by Palm, such as certain Treo or the Palm Pro models, are fully supported.
Palm Pre: This phone is not even out yet, but we are eager to get our hands on it.
Samsung Instinct: This phone is not a Windows Mobile device and will not run Skyfire.
Other Symbian phones: We are concentrating on the Symbian S60 (3rd edition) phones. We have no plans to support Symbian S40 or S60 (2nd edition), or UIQ phones anytime soon.

Reason: made error
with flash support.. i used it on motorola Q9c says available for blackberry
The link you gave says this "Currently, Skyfire runs on Windows Mobile (smartphones and PPC) and Nokia N and E Series (Symbian S60, 3rd Edition) phones. Right now, we're active in the US, Canada and UK."
I could see no reference to BlackBerry. I am sure that we will get SkyFire soon but this is only a server based browser like Opera-Mini that runs outside BlackBerry.net

Ohhhh man that sucks...
I want to watch photo shots at my Curve from photography blog and it only available in flash player. Now I know that I can't do it...
Hope they will develop flash player for BB soon because they can reach a major market and of course make us, the BB lovers, happy ;-)
Glad to searching for answers at Crackberry. Thanks for the info guys and gals. It helps a lot before going nuts about it hahaha...
Fine, but I am only going to say this once. Don't repeat it on CrackBerry again please.
Wow, the thought police really DO exist!!! I was just thinking this and I got slapped down! How did this happen?!!!
btw, what forum rule are we breaking with our impure thoughts? And I have often wondered, too, why would a regulator re-post in a quote something he didn't want to see in the first place. Now he wants to see it twice? Well, once, in this case, since the poster has edited his. . .
It is actually now possible for the new blackberrys coming out this august to use flash however the flash player will be using a third party source and only usable on the blackberry browser which rumors say will have a much improved browser rather than the current one which does not work well it will also be released with tab browsing better multitasking with the new "quickjump" feature and will be released with 4G thorugh certain providers "sprint, verizon"
