    Is a microSDHC card compatible with an 8830? I am unable to open the card when connected to my phone.

    On a side note, is there an easy process to convert AAC files to mp3 files?

    Google aac to mp3 converter..

    And I use a 8gb microsdhc card in my 8310 and it works fine..

    What size is the card and what OS are you running?

    I have a 8gb microSDHC card and run on 4.2.2.

    Do I need to reformat the card?

    No 4.2.2 doesn't support 8gb memory card.. U need to update your OS

    You need to update your OS. You need at least OS 4.5 to use the full 8GB's of the card.

    I would try going to the 8830w forums on crackberry for the answer to that.. Im not sure if they came out with an upgrade for the 8830w yet

    Forget about it. The 88XX does not have anything as new as 4.5 yet.

    If I only need to upgrade to OS 4.5 to use a 8gb, then I am in business. How do I upgrade? Is it as simple as click here, and download there?

    Actually its not that simple.. If you have an 8830 like your profile says, there is no 4.5 upgrade for that phone.

    And this is the curve section of the forums so do you have a 8830 world phone or a 8330 curve.

    Unless your reference to the 8830 was a typo.

    If you could get 4.5 loaded on your phone, it would brick it.
