Is there any email shortcut to mark a message as read while in list view? This was an excellent feature found in Chatter, which I used on my Treo 755P and 650 before getting my Curve.

I see this list or cheatsheet, but it doesn't seem to offer this.

This feature must be there. It's too simple not to have forgotten. I cannot imagine diving deeper into an email (per email) only to immediately back out of the message in order to mark it as read.

ALT + U should mark a message as opened or unopened in the list view. Or you can use menu/mark as opened (unopened). 2 key strokes either way.

That's precisely what I was looking for, and I was aware of the menu option. What about mapping "U" alone somehow in preferences or something via a 3rd party application for a single keystroke?

That'd be awesome.

I also noticed that while in the message list, tapping just U will take you to the next unread message on the list. not sure about remapping the keys....
