My dad had a Curve 8330 and always uses an earpiece. For the last two years the earpiece remained "active" and whenever he answered a call or dialed out the earpiece worked. He seldom unplugged the earpiece; just leaving it in all the time. Last week the earpiece jack stopped working and Verizon replaced the whole phone.
Now when he answers a call he has to go into the menu and click on "Activate Headset" before the earpiece will function.
How do you set the phone so that the earpiece will work all the time without having to click on "Activate Headset"?
    Thanks for any help.

No I never have had this problem. I would delete the dbluetooth device and reinstall it. Make it a trusted pair and have your bb available to be found. Or wait are you posting about a wired set??
